Rare Historical Copper Fire Brick This isn’t an official “mineral,” nor is it a pure metal: It’s the copper that stuck to the fire brick walls of the smelters in copper ore processing plants. The bricks absorbed the metal during the smelting process and some were saved prior to being permanently buried after the decommissioning of the smelters.
